My E.L.F. Eyeshadow Quad Collection

Hey guys!

I am obsessed with eyeshadow. Ever since I started to get interested with makeup, I also started collecting eyeshadow. Modesty aside, I have quite a lot now which are from different brands. When I was getting started with makeup, my go-to brand was E.L.F. or Eyes Lips Face. Not only is the brand affordable but its quality is great as well. Since I love the brand so much, it's no wonder that I have collected a number of their famous eyeshadow quads.

I now currently have 5 quads which I have collected over a period of one year.

Let me give you guys a rundown of each quad (complete with swatches) and on which occasion I usually use them.

Butternut

Butternut is my go-to palette for a day look at the office. The warm neutral colors are perfect when you want to achieve a great look but still looking professional at the same time. I also use this quad when I want to achieve a "no makeup" look. I would say that this is my favorite in my collection.

Nouveau Naturals

This quad also has neutrals which are perfect for a daytime look. I use this interchangeably with Butternut.

Pretty N' Pink

This quad screams girly, don't you think? And this reminds me of prom!!! I think these colors are very wearable during the day. This would be great to use if you are attending a soiree or any girly event.

Silver Lining

If color is what you are looking for, Silver Lining is the best quad for you! If blended really well, you can achieve a gorgeous smokey look with these colors or you can tone it down for a subtle daytime look. This would also be perfect for a night out with your besties!

Drama

Who doesn't love a smokey eye? This quad is perfect for smokey eyes! I just love this quad because the colors blend well together to achieve a great smokey look.

I definitely recommend these quads to anyone who is just starting with makeup. The color payoff and pigmentation of the eyeshadows is really good. Plus, they are very affordable at only Php 129.75 each!

You can buy these quads at any SM Department Stores.
You may also check out E.L.F's Facebook Fan Page or follow them on Twitter!

I am hoping to do looks with these quads soon since I am also hoping to get a better camera soon!

Till my next blog post!

I won an international giveaway!

Hey lovelies!

Last March, I won an international giveaway from Charlotte Evans of carlottasbeautyspot.blogspot.com! When I read about her giveaway on her blog, I knew that I needed to join because she was giving away MUA and Sleek cosmetics. Well, these brands are not readily available here in the Philippines and I really wanted to try these products. Imagine my reaction when I found out that I won! Haha.

Charlotte shipped the parcel on the last week of March but I just claimed it last Monday. Apparently, the parcel arrived in the Philippines last April 2 and the post office sent me a notice dated April 4 asking me to pick up the parcel. But I only saw the notice last May 4! I got so frustrated because our house help didn't inform me about this notice. I got even more frustrated (and sad) when the notice said that I should claim the parcel within 30 days or else the parcel will be returned to sender or disposed! I took my chances and went to the post office to claim the parcel with the hope that it hasn't been disposed off yet. I was so happy when the post office personnel just gave me my parcel without any hassle! Whew!

Now, that was a long intro. Haha. So, here are the stuff that I got:

My parcel! I was so happy when this was handed to me. I have never received anything from someone abroad before! :)

Inside my parcel was this gorgeous Marilyn Monroe greeting card. And it says...

"Congratulations! Thank you for entering and I hope you like everything!! Lots of love, Charlotte"

The contents of my parcel!!!

MUA Heaven and Earth Palette! It was love at first sight! Sigh..

MUA single eyeshadow in Shade 30 - Pearl!

MUA Lipsticks in Shades No. 7, 1 and 3! New additions to my collection!

Sleek Eyeshadow Palette The Original! This palette is a dream come true!

Sleek blush in Flamingo!

Once again, I would like to thank Charlotte for this awesome giveaway! I hope you do more giveaways soon so that other bloggers may have the chance to win awesome prices as well!

Please visit her blog at carlottasbeautyspot.blogspot.com or follow her on Twitter @cevanslondon86.

I can't wait to use these products and blog about them soon! I promise to post swatches really soon!

What's in my makeup bag?

Hey lovelies!

This post has long been overdue! I have been planning to write this post for a very long time already. But, I somehow didn't get around to writing it. I know some are curious about "What's in my make up bag" so I decided to show my readers through this post.

This is my make up bag. It was a Christmas gift from one of my friends from the office. It's size is okay because  it generally fits my daily make up and it fits very well in my purse too!

In my make up bag, I always carry a (1) compact mirror, (2) a number of hair ties for when I want to put my hair in a ponytail, (3) hair gloss, (4) toothpaste and (5) a toothbrush.

For face products, I always carry my (1) L.A. Colors Bronzer (I love this!), (2) Snoe Beauty Four Seasons Blush Palette and (3) my L.A. Colors Face Powder. I love Snoe Beauty's Four Seasons Blush Palette because it comes in compact palette of 4 blush shades! Savvy eh?!

I also carry (1) a black and brown eyeliner, (2) stick concealer, (3) liquid concealer, (4) my Snoe Beauty Beso Balm which I have reviewed here, (5) L.A. Colors Mascara, (6) lipsticks ( a nude one and a bright one), and (7) a lip brush).

There goes the contents of my make up bag! Please comment below and let me know what's in your make up bag!

NOTW: Glitter Explosion!

Hey lovelies!

I haven't done a "Nails of the Week" (NOTW) post in ages! So here's one now.

I call this Glitter Explosion because the glitters are just all over the place. Haha. I am not really a fan of glittery nails. I'm more of a solid nail polish color kind of girl. But, I was just experimenting with this nail look and I love how it turned out!

I used Caress Nail Polish's Cyclamen Pink as my base. I applied 2 coats of these on my nails before applying the glitter. (Sorry for the poor background and lighting. I shot this over my bed. You can see the sheets and my neck pillow on the background. Haha.)

For the glitter nail polish, I used this silver glittery polish from Etude House. The glitters are just plain silver, which I actually love!

I hope you guys liked my NOTW. If you guys are into glitter nail polishes or nail polishes in general, please comment below and let's have a chat about it! ;)

Till my next blog post!

I'm back + E.L.F. Haul!!!

Hey lovely readers!

I know I have been M.I.A. lately and I haven't blogged in such a long time. I missed blogging, that's for sure. I also missed talking to fellow bloggers on Twitter and on Facebook. But now that I have had a breather from my very stressful job, I plan to start blogging again. Starting with this haul...

I was walking through the mall the other day when I passed by the E.L.F. counter. When I started getting serious with makeup and starting practicing more and more, E.L.F. was my go-to brand. Not only is it cheap, but I kinda like its quality.

I decided to treat myself to some E.L.F. products, especially their liquid eyeliners as I was starting to get the hang of using them on myself and I wanted to practice more. So, here's my E.L.F. loot...

Like I said, I wanted to practice applying liquid eyeliner on my eyes. I just love how it defines the eye for a more dramatic look. When I saw this set, I just knew I had to have it. An E.L.F. liquid eyeliner costs        Php 129.75. Well, guess what?! I got this set for only Php 299.75 and it already has 3 liquid eyeliners and 2 pencil eyeliners! A definite steal!

I also got this cream eyeliner in brown. I've never tried or owned cream eyeliner before that's why I decided to get this one as well.

I got 2 of their brushes: the blending eye brush and the eyeshadow brush. I love their eye brushes! They're cheap and are perfect especially if you are just dabbling with makeup.

I got their corrective concealer palette which have different shades that will tackle different problem areas.

I have always wanted their bronzer from their studio line but this always seem out-of-stock. When I saw this, I just grabbed it! Dream come true! Haha.

I love E.L.F.'s lip products. And I went for these two shades of red. I'm currently into red lips! Love!

I hoped you guys liked my E.L.F. haul. If there is any specific product from this haul that you want me to review and write about in detail, please let me know. Or if there is any other product that you might want me to try and review, please let me know as well. I love hearing from my readers! You guys are simply the best! ;)

Till my next blog post!

Product Review and Swatches: BeautyUK Eyeshadows

Hi lovelies!

For today's blogpost, I would like to introduce this new palette of eyeshadows that I am currently loving. It's BeautyUK's Eyeshadow Palette in Earth Child. BeautyUK cosmetics are not available at any makeup counter in the Philippines. However, I got mine from an online seller called Make Up Hub by NatureleCollezione.

This palette is composed of 10 matte and shimmery eyeshadows that are perfect for an everyday neutral look or a classic smokey eye. The pigmentation of these eyeshadows definitely blew me away! The color payoff is so awesome! I mean, look at these swatches!

The matte black at the leftmost corner is amazing! It's perfect for smokey eyes and for lining your eyes. I also love the 4th color in the row, which is a shimmery copper color which is perfect if you want that bronzey or goddess-like look.

The second row of eyeshadows consist of lighter colors which are perfect for the inner corners of the eyes and for highlighting. I particularly like the 4th eyeshadow in the row. I know it doesn't look like it, but it's actually a very light champagne color. I just love this color (and I'm sorry that the picture doesn't do this color justice) and I often use it just as a standalone eyeshadow.

Here's the final verdict:

Quality - A+
I love this palette! The eyeshadows are very pigmented and the colors included in this palette are perfect for an everyday look. I think it would be great to travel with as well since it has all the colors that you need to create day-to-night looks.

Packaging - B
I don't see anything special about the packaging. However, it is very compact and would definitely fit in a small-sized makeup bag.

Price - A+
For the quality of the eyeshadows that your getting, I believe that its price of around Php370 is not bad at all. Plus, you get 10 amazing eyeshadows!

I hope you guys liked my review and swatches. I'm hoping to do looks with these eyeshadows soon. So watch out for them!

Till my next blog post!
