Sea Goddess

Hey there!

I got inspired today when I saw the E.L.F. Cosmetics Quad in Ocean Dreams. The quad has some great blue and green shades that reminded me of the sea and of mermaids. I decided to buy the quad and attempt to do an eye makeup using it. Haha. Honestly, this is my first ever blog post of this sort. I tried doing this kind of posts before but I couldn't get a decent picture! Thankfully, I now have my cousin with me here in Manila and she nicely volunteered to take the shots! Thanks Crissa! :)

This look is very simple and I would recommend this look for a night out or for a themed party. The materials I used are very affordable and are available at any department store. I will be showing pictures of the step-by-step process in accomplishing this look. Let's get started!

Step 1: I applied a cream eyeshadow as my base. I used the Enlightened Creamy Eyeshadow Base in the shade Highlight. I got this cream eyeshadow from one of my Glamourboxes. I think it was from the January one.

Step 2: On the inner half of my eyelid I applied this light green color (2nd color from the left) from the quad.

Step 3: On the outer half of my eyelid I applied the violet-blue color (1st color from the right) from the quad.

Step 4: On my crease and on the outermost portion of my eyelid, I deepened the color using the deep blue color (2nd from the right) from the quad.

Step 5: Highlight your brow bone and tear duct area with the lightest green shade (1st from the left) in the quad. Out of all the colors in this quad, I don't like this the most. The color payoff is very minimal that I had to apply the color more than once.

Step 6: Line your upper lash line and water line with a deep blue-green color. I used Nichido's Eye Contour Pencil in Metal Blue.

Step 7: Coat your lashes with mascara. I used my Revlon Custom Eyes Mascara in Black Noir.

I hope you guys liked this look and I hope you'll try it for yourselves! If there is any specific look that you would want me to do or any E.L.F. quad to use for a look, please comment below and let me know!

Till my next blog post!

The BDJ BOX Beauty Social

Hello Lovelies and fellow Bellas!

I attended the BDJ Box Beauty Social this afternoon at the SM Mall of Asia. I learned about this event through an email newsletter that they have sent me. I got excited upon seeing that email because I have been a Bella since 2011 and I have just recently subscribed to the BDJ Box!! Basically, the Beauty Social is an event which has a lot of talks related to beauty and there were a lot of booths from brands such as Revlon, Covergirl, Max Factor and Goody! There were also booths from local brands and establishments such as Snoe Beauty, Browhaus and Strip.

I went to the event with my cousin and we were just overwhelmed with the number of people who were attending. I event saw a few men in the event as well! Haha. I originally signed up for 3 events but unfortunately, I only got to attend 1 of these events because I had other errands to run. I got to attend the talk called "Beauty Questions Solved". The talk was basically an open forum wherein the audience can ask the members of the BDJ Box Beauty Ministry their questions about beauty. I really enjoyed this talk because the beauty ministers who where present (Tara, Nicole and Kate) were very insightful and they gave such useful tips! I loved how knowledgeable they are about beauty. They really answered all of the questions that were raised and they seemed to have such lovely personalities! Shout out to Kate who is my favorite among the beauty ministers! I loved the outfit that she was wearing and I was so jealous of her hair! :)

Here are a few pictures that I was able to take from the event:

This was during the talk. The host was Managing Director Kat Dy. She was very engaging as a host and I loved her outfit! Members of the beauty ministry who were present were Tara Cabullo, Nicole Romero and Kate Alvarez. :)

Brands such as L'Occitane, Physiogel and Yuka participated in the event and gave free samples!

Revlon and Covergirl gave free makeovers. I forgot to take a picture of the Max Factor and Shiseido booths where free makeovers were also being done. Ofcourse, Goody was also there and they gave out free Ouchless Elastics to the first 500 registrants.

This was me at the entrance of the event. Sorry for looking so haggard.
I wasn't wearing any makeup. Haha.

Ohh, and did I mention that I got a free loot bag at the event as well? Here's what I got:

My loot bag! The actual bag was from Goody. I also got a Cosmopolitan Magazine. But I was disappointed with the magazine because it was the August 2012 issue. I wish they put something more recent. :(

I also got the Revlon Custom Eyes Mascara, the L'oreal Fall Repair Shampoo and Conditioner, samples from Physiogel and some Pantene Color & Perm Lasting Care Shampoo. I got totally excited about the Revlon Mascara. I have never tried any Revlon Mascara's before and I can't wait to try this one!

All in all, I really enjoyed the event! It was a good effort on the part of the BDJ team and I know that they have put a lot of thought and hard work into making the event a success. Kudos to the BDJ team! I hope that there will be another beauty social in the near future. And I hope that they will have more activities and feature more brands. :)

Till my next blog post!
