Etude House Haul!

Hey fellas!

I apologize for being MIA for so long. My laptop is slowly slipping into oblivion and it has gotten so slow already! Since I don't have that much patience in waiting for my laptop to upload pictures or to upload a blog post, I haven't blogged in quite a while. My laptop is still not working so well right now, but I've missed blogging so much!! So, had to muster all of my patience to deal with my senile laptop. Lol.

I went to SM Mall of Asia a while ago after attending the Feast at the PICC this morning. I went to SM Mall of Asia because I wanted to check out the Etude House store there. Etude House is a Korean cosmetics brand which sells make up and skincare products. I can say this brand is really huge here in the Philippines and a lot of bloggers are raving about their products!

So let me go through the things that I got:

I love their pink shopping bag!

I love Etude House nail polishes! They come in really gorgeous colors and the packaging is really cute and girly! The green one on the left side is called Meet Mint while the blue one on the farthest right side is called Double Purple. I'm sure the smaller nail polishes have names as well but the label is in Korean! Sorry....

I also got two of their face masks. They have a wide variety of face masks but I got the one in Royal Jelly and Lemon.

I have been meaning to try this Mascara Remover for ages. I'll let you guys know how it goes! :)

I hate lip liners in pencil form. For some reason, I find them uncomfortable to apply. When I saw this Soft Touch Auto Lip Liners, I knew I need to try them! I got one in a nude shade and another one in a more pinky shade. Again, I'm sure this things have names but then again the label is in Korean.

I've been looking for brow accessories since I've just recently started learning how to groom my brows. I found this brow pencil in a dark brown shade. I also got this nice angled tip brush that would be perfect for grooming my brows and for applying gel liner!

I went to the store with an Etude House coupon which I got from my Belle de Jour planner. The coupon entitles me to upgrade the gift that I will receive. For example, if the total amount of my purchases is Php 500, I am entitled to receive a gift that is equivalent to purchases worth Php 1000. Since my total purchases amounted to a little bit over a thousand, I got a free gift that is equivalent to purchases worth Php 2000. And I got this Milk Talk Body Wash Set for free!!! It comes in 3 variants! That's a great deal, right?!

Lastly, I went home proudly bearing my Pink Membership card. A minimum purchase of Php 500 entitles you to a free membership. This card is great because you'll earn rebates everytime you purchase from any of their stores! Savvy!

Do you guys have any product in this haul? If so, please comment below and tell me how you like this product. Also, if you want me to review any of the products featured above in great detail, please comment as well and let me know! :)

Till my next blog post!

My Top 5 Shoe Must Haves

Hi!

I am a shoe addict! There, I said it! I just love shoes! I can't get enough of them! My mouth waters every time I go into a shoe store! Haha. Over the past 2 years since I have started working, I also started collecting shoes. My shoe collection is still compared small compared to most fashionistas, but I love my shoes! They complete any outfit and they make me feel SEXY! Haha.

Out of all the shoes that I own, there are pairs which I believe every girl should own! Let's run down my top 5 shoe must haves!

1. Black pumps

Every girl must own a good pair of black pumps! These are my fave pumps because they have animal prints on it which gives this pair an edgy look. Black pumps are classy and can be worn with dresses, skirts or jeans. They make your legs look long too!

2. Edgy/Sexy Heels

A nice pair of heels which you can wear on a date or a night-out with friends is a definite must have! This pair from Parisian really gives that edgy and sexy look!

3. Flip flops

Even though I love my heels, I still like comfort! Flip flops aren't only cute, but they are comfortable as well! You can wear them anywhere; to the beach, the supermarket, even for coffee with friends! This particular pair is so cute because of the nice beaded design! But, for everyday wear, I prefer my Havaianas Tops! :)

4. Ballet Flats

Should I say more? Every girl should have at least one pair. Period. Haha. ;)

5. Outrageous Shoes

I just had to include this! Every girl must probably own one pair of shoes that look outrageous to a normal person. The kind of shoes that would turn heads while walking on the sidewalk! Well, I own one pair of that and I feel that every girl must have at least one pair of outrageous shoes for FUN!

Mine is this glittery shoes that I got from Forever21. This pair is practically covered in glitter and has 5 inch heels! How outrageous is that! And too add to all these outrageousness, I feel like a giant when I am wearing this!

Indeed, this pair really catches people's attention!

What are your must have shoes? Please comment below and let me know! I'd love to hear from you!

New Products from ELF Cosmetics

Hey guys!

While I was browsing Facebook the other day, I saw E.L.F. (Eyes, Lips Face) announce on their Facebook page some new products from their brand that are coming out. Being a fan of E.L.F., I knew that I needed to try these products out for myself.

I went to SM Megamall yesterday to check out the products and came home with some cool stuff!

My loot

E.L.F. has some new mascaras, eyelashes, eyeshadows, repackaged blushes, lipsticks and lip stains! I was most excited about the lip stains because I never tried any before!

I got two out of the three lip stains. The other one was just too light for my coloring and liking. I got Nude Nectar and Crimson Crush. I have tried them on already and I can say that they are very pigmented and they are very easy to apply. I have to test them out more for staying power.

Top: Crimson Crush Bottom: Nude Nectar

Swatches - Left: Nude Nectar, Right: Crimson Crush

I got got one of their new E.L.F. Flawless Eyeshadow Quads. These quads look a lot like the Wet N Wild Color Icon but this one has 4 shades. I admit that these new E.L.F. quads aren't as pigmented as those from Wet N Wild though. This quad come in handy because it guides you where to apply the eyeshadow for an effortless and flawless look.

\

You get one shade each for your Base, Lid, Crease and Line.

Swatches (from bottom to top): Base, Lid, Crease, Line

The other new product that I was really excited about is their Eyebrow Stencil Kit. I have recently been grooming and filling in my eyebrows. I get really conscious because sometimes I feel like I have drawn a very lousy brow or that my eyebrows are on different levels. Haha. I hope you get what I mean.

So, I thought that this stencil kit will really come in handy. And it comes in 4 different eyebrow styles: Soft Arch, Structured Arch, Curved Arch and Full Arch.

I'll try out these products more and do detailed reviews on them in the near future!

Just a disclaimer though, this post isn't sponsored by E.L.F. I bought these products with my own money. I just love and believe in this brand so much! :)

Till my next blog post!

Haul: Goodies from Makeup Hub by Naturele Collezione

Hola!

Today, I have a haul for you from Makeup Hub by Naturele Collezione. This online shop is one of my favorites because it sells UK Cosmetic Products which are very rare here in the Philippines. They sell products from brands like MeMeMe Cosmetics, Miners Cosmetics, BeautyUK Cosmetics, Sleek and Models Own. I also love how their products are so affordable too!

So, this is my second time to order from this online shop but this time I ordered through their Multiply account. I love how fast they service their customers! I got my package within 2 days!

Let's move on to the products:

This time, I got five products.I have been eyeing this products for so long and I have heard rave reviews about them!

BeautyUK Lipstick in Chelsea
This product looked really good in the picture. And since I am a sucker for nude lipsticks, I decided that I want to have this one. Upon seeing this when my package arrived, I knew that the color didn't match me. I was really disappointed because I really liked the consistency of this lipstick. But, the color on me is sooooo.... blah...
I guess that's the downside of ordering online. You don't get to try or swatch the products to see if it really matches you. :(

Miners Matte Factor Lip Paint in Light Pink and Peach
I have heard rave reviews about these two products that's why I wanted to try them. I know that they come in an array of different colors, but most of these colors were sold out.
These lip paints are matte and are supposed to last long on your lips.

MeMeMe Beat the Blues and Poppy Tint
These are supposed to be dupes for the Benefit Tints and Highlighters. I have never tried any Benefit products yet so I cannot vouch for that. All I can say is that upon trying these two products, I fell in love with them right away. I love the Poppy Tint the most because it gives me a really nice yet subtle glow on the cheeks!

I will be doing more in depth reviews on this products soon and I am really excited to talk about them at length!

You can check out Makeup Hub by Naturele Collezione at their Multiply account or you can like their Facebook page. :)

Gorgeous Rings!

Hey!

"Stockable rings" seem to be so in right now! If you don't know what these are, these are rings that you stock together in one finger. Like, say, 4 separate rings that you wear on your ring finger. ;)

Well, I fell in love with this trend and I am always on the lookout for this kind of rings! I walked into Forever21  and I found a set that was so cute, I just needed to get it!

This particular set has 4 separate rings in it. When you stock them together, it gives the illusion that these 4 rings are combined. What's great about this kind of rings is that you can rearrange the order of the rings to create a new design. Or, you could wear the rings separately. ;)

I also got this cute ring with a nice peach heart-shaped design. I know that this was not part of a set of rings that I am currently into, but I really fell in love with this ring. It reminds me of an engagement ring! Haha. ;)

So what do you guys think of these stackable rings? If you know where I can find more of these, please comment below and let me know.

MUA Heaven & Earth Palette: Swatches and Mini Review

Hello!

Ever since I won my MUA Heaven & Earth Palette from a fellow blogger named Charlotte, I instantly fell in love with it! Seriously, it was love at first sight! You guys know that I am addicted to earth-toned eyeshadows because they compliment my skin tone really well. The MUA Heaven & Earth Palette has the most gorgeous earth-toned and neutral colors for an everyday to evening look!

MUA is a UK brand and isn't readily available in the Philippines. I have been eyeing this palette on the internet for a long time already and I was so happy that I won it on a giveaway! I also saw this palette featured by the Pixiwoo girls (who, by the way, are my ultimate idols), and I just wanted this palette for myself!

I just died when I saw these wonderful colors! Haha. ;)

Swatches of the top row.

Swatches of the bottom row.

These eyeshadows are highly pigmented as you can see on the swatches above. I also love the texture of the eyeshadows. This palette has 12 great neutral colors to choose from and play with! I use this palette for my everyday makeup look and I just love how natural the colors are! This palette also has a selection of deeper shades which you can use for a more dramatic look.

Some say that this palette is a good dupe for the Urban Decay Naked Palette. I couldn't really vouch for that since I don't own the Naked Palette. But, I am pretty happy with my MUA palette because the quality of these eyeshadows will definitely blow your mind!

If I had the choice, I would probably collect all of the MUA palette! I just wish that it is available here in the Philippines.

A few weeks back, I announced the winner of my first ever giveaway. However, the winner (which was chosen through Rafflecopter) was not able to answer my email within the allotted time frame I gave her. So, I needed to choose another winner. NOTW: Gold Mine

Hey!

This week's NOTW is so unusual for me because I don't really go for glittery nail polishes or gold nail polishes. However, I took a chance to try out a "gold and glittery" nail look.

After finishing this nail look, I mush admit that I like how it looks. I guess, gold and glittery nail polishes are bad after all. ;)

To achieve this nail look, I used two different colors.

I first applied two coats of L.A. Colors' Nail Lacquer in Topaz.

Then I topped it off with a Caronia Nail Polish in Gold Rush.

For someone who doesn't like gold and glittery nail polishes, one might ask why I own these two nail polishes. Well, I didn't really buy them for my nails. I used them for a head piece that I made for a costume party I attended last Christmas. These two nail polishes have been sitting in my nail polish basket unattended so I decided to give 'em a try. :)

What does your NOTW look like? I'd love for you guys to show me your nail looks for the week!

Wet N Wild Ultimate Match Foundation (A Product Review)

Hey lovely readers!

Foundation is an essential beauty product that one must have in her makeup arsenal. Honestly, I have tried a lot of foundations. Some of them worked for me, while others didn't. I have a few favorite foundations, but my current favorite foundation is the Wet N Wild Ultimate Match Liquid Foundation with SPF 15!

Product description (based on the label):
*Refreshingly light-weight formula provides natural-looking coverage
*Automatically adjusts to your natural skin tone
*SPF 15 sunscreen for all-day protection
*Adds a soft radiance to skin for a glowing finish

This has been my current go-to foundation because I like the coverage that it gives my skin. It has a nice coverage but still looks natural. I think this foundation is also perfect for a "no-makeup makeup" look because it gives you that natural glow.

Another thing that I love about it is its longevity. It lasts throughout the day and that's saying a lot because I have really oily skin.

I love that it also has SPF 15 in it. In the Philippines where it could get really hot everyday, products with sunscreen or SPF really comes in handy.

I am in the shade Bisque. I use my stifling brush to apply this onto my face for an airbrushed effect. ;)

The verdict:

Quality - A+
This is really one of my favorite foundations. Even though I have other foundations, I find myself reaching for this most often. I love the coverage and the natural finish that it gives to my skin.

Packaging - C-
I hate the packaging of this product. It comes in a glass bottle with a cap. I wish it came with a pump. I really find it difficult to get some of the product out of the bottle. :(

Price - A-
I don't remember the exact price of this but I am sure that it costs less than Php 500. For me, this is a reasonable price for a foundation.

Will I repurchase this product?
Yes, I will repurchase this product! Even though I might find a better foundation in the future, I still foresee myself using this because it has great quality and it is reasonably priced.

What is your current favorite foundation? What is your favorite foundation of all time? Let me know; I'd love to hear from you. ;)

Cream Eyeshadows Anyone?

Hi!

On a recent blog post that I did about the E.L.F. Eyeshadow Quads here, one reader and fellow blogger named India asked if I have tried any of the E.L.F. Cream Eyeshadows. I told them that I haven't tried any of these cream eyeshadows and I thought that it would be fun to try them out and do a review on them.

I bought 2 of E.L.F.'s Duo Cream Eyeshadows and gave it a go! I only bought 2 because I just wanted to try them out. There are I think 5 varieties of these duo cream eyeshadows. I also made sure that I got the ones with wearable neutral colors so that I can wear them during the day.

I got Mocha Swirl and Black Licorice.

Mocha Swirl is composed of a light champagne color and deeper chocolate brown color.

Black Licorice is composed of a silver and a black color.

I have tested these cream eyeshadows in 3 ways. I tried using it on its own without a primer and it creased like hell! I also tried using it on its own with a primer and it still creased. I guess that's because I really have oily eyelids. But when I tried using it as a base, it was magic! I used it under one of my non-cream eyeshadows for a daytime look and I must say that it lasted the entire day with very minimal creasing. It also helped bring out the beautiful pigmentation of my eyeshadow and it helped the eyeshadow stay in place throughout the day. ;)

The verdict:

Quality - B
I must say that I was a bit disappointed about this product. I was hoping to use the cream eyeshadows on its own because they really have some beautiful colors. I was really sad that it creased a lot. But, I am still happy that this product will not go to waste and that I can still use it as an eyeshadow base.

Packaging - B
The packaging is very small and compact. It would be perfect to travel around with and it fits in my makeup bag perfectly.

Price - B
The product costs Php 129.75 and I got this at Robinsons Department Store. Most E.L.F. products cost within that range.

Will I repurchase this product?
I don't think so. As much as I love E.L.F. products, I don't think I am going to repurchase this product again. E.L.F. hasn't disappointed me with any of their products before and I am so sad that this product did not work out for me. :(

Have any of you lovely readers tried this product? Did you like it? Please comment below and let me know how it worked for you.

I want to share with you my current favorites! I know I posted a favorites for the month of January and I haven't posted a "favorites" blog since then. Gosh, I am so bad at these favorites blog post. Haha.

I only have a few current favorites. I guess I have been trying a lot of skincare, beauty and hair products these past few months and only a few of them stood out! So, let's get started!

1. Current Fave Foundation: Wet 'N Wild Ultimate Match Foundation with SPF 15 in the shade Bisque

I love this foundation! It provides great coverage without sacrificing a natural look! It blends really well with my skin and it has SPF to protect your skin from the harmful rays of the sun. I will be posting a review about it soon!

2. Current Fave Moisturizer: Celeteque Facial Moisturizer with Triple Moisturizing System

This moisturizer is so light weight! It doesn't feel heavy on your skin and it makes your face soft and moisturized all day. I find that this really works well with my oily-to-combination skin and it really blends well with whatever foundation I use.

3. Current Fave Scent: Snoe Beauty Scrumptious Body Spritz in Honey Dew Melon Yogurt

This smells so yummy! I couldn't say anything more about this product other than I LOVE IT!. I have already reviewed it here.

4. Current Fave Nail Polishes: Wet N Wild Nail Polishes in Casting Call and Blue Moon

Aren't these lovely colors? Gorgeous!

5. Current Fave Bronzer: ELF's Golden Bronzer

This is perfect if you want that natural bronzy or goddess-like look! I use this everyday to contour my face and to give me a natural glow!

6. Current Fave Eyeliners: ELF's Liquid Eyeliners

I have really been into liquid eyeliners lately and I think that I am getting good in applying them. I love these ELF Liquid Eyeliners because they last all day and they are very easy to apply!

Swatches: Midnight (navy blue), Black and Coffee (brown)

Please comment below and let me know what your current beauty favorites are! I would love to hear from you!

I will be doing more in depth reviews on this products soon and I am really excited to talk about them at length!

Gorgeous!
