Wet N Wild Ultimate Match Foundation (A Product Review)

Hey lovely readers!

Foundation is an essential beauty product that one must have in her makeup arsenal. Honestly, I have tried a lot of foundations. Some of them worked for me, while others didn't. I have a few favorite foundations, but my current favorite foundation is the Wet N Wild Ultimate Match Liquid Foundation with SPF 15!

Product description (based on the label):
*Refreshingly light-weight formula provides natural-looking coverage
*Automatically adjusts to your natural skin tone
*SPF 15 sunscreen for all-day protection
*Adds a soft radiance to skin for a glowing finish

This has been my current go-to foundation because I like the coverage that it gives my skin. It has a nice coverage but still looks natural. I think this foundation is also perfect for a "no-makeup makeup" look because it gives you that natural glow.

Another thing that I love about it is its longevity. It lasts throughout the day and that's saying a lot because I have really oily skin.

I love that it also has SPF 15 in it. In the Philippines where it could get really hot everyday, products with sunscreen or SPF really comes in handy.

I am in the shade Bisque. I use my stifling brush to apply this onto my face for an airbrushed effect. ;)

The verdict:

Quality - A+
This is really one of my favorite foundations. Even though I have other foundations, I find myself reaching for this most often. I love the coverage and the natural finish that it gives to my skin.

Packaging - C-
I hate the packaging of this product. It comes in a glass bottle with a cap. I wish it came with a pump. I really find it difficult to get some of the product out of the bottle. :(

Price - A-
I don't remember the exact price of this but I am sure that it costs less than Php 500. For me, this is a reasonable price for a foundation.

Will I repurchase this product?
Yes, I will repurchase this product! Even though I might find a better foundation in the future, I still foresee myself using this because it has great quality and it is reasonably priced.

What is your current favorite foundation? What is your favorite foundation of all time? Let me know; I'd love to hear from you. ;)

Cream Eyeshadows Anyone?

Hi!

On a recent blog post that I did about the E.L.F. Eyeshadow Quads here, one reader and fellow blogger named India asked if I have tried any of the E.L.F. Cream Eyeshadows. I told them that I haven't tried any of these cream eyeshadows and I thought that it would be fun to try them out and do a review on them.

I bought 2 of E.L.F.'s Duo Cream Eyeshadows and gave it a go! I only bought 2 because I just wanted to try them out. There are I think 5 varieties of these duo cream eyeshadows. I also made sure that I got the ones with wearable neutral colors so that I can wear them during the day.

I got Mocha Swirl and Black Licorice.

Mocha Swirl is composed of a light champagne color and deeper chocolate brown color.

Black Licorice is composed of a silver and a black color.

I have tested these cream eyeshadows in 3 ways. I tried using it on its own without a primer and it creased like hell! I also tried using it on its own with a primer and it still creased. I guess that's because I really have oily eyelids. But when I tried using it as a base, it was magic! I used it under one of my non-cream eyeshadows for a daytime look and I must say that it lasted the entire day with very minimal creasing. It also helped bring out the beautiful pigmentation of my eyeshadow and it helped the eyeshadow stay in place throughout the day. ;)

The verdict:

Quality - B
I must say that I was a bit disappointed about this product. I was hoping to use the cream eyeshadows on its own because they really have some beautiful colors. I was really sad that it creased a lot. But, I am still happy that this product will not go to waste and that I can still use it as an eyeshadow base.

Packaging - B
The packaging is very small and compact. It would be perfect to travel around with and it fits in my makeup bag perfectly.

Price - B
The product costs Php 129.75 and I got this at Robinsons Department Store. Most E.L.F. products cost within that range.

Will I repurchase this product?
I don't think so. As much as I love E.L.F. products, I don't think I am going to repurchase this product again. E.L.F. hasn't disappointed me with any of their products before and I am so sad that this product did not work out for me. :(

Have any of you lovely readers tried this product? Did you like it? Please comment below and let me know how it worked for you.

My Current Beauty Favorites!

Hello!

I want to share with you my current favorites! I know I posted a favorites for the month of January and I haven't posted a "favorites" blog since then. Gosh, I am so bad at these favorites blog post. Haha.

I only have a few current favorites. I guess I have been trying a lot of skincare, beauty and hair products these past few months and only a few of them stood out! So, let's get started!

1. Current Fave Foundation: Wet 'N Wild Ultimate Match Foundation with SPF 15 in the shade Bisque

I love this foundation! It provides great coverage without sacrificing a natural look! It blends really well with my skin and it has SPF to protect your skin from the harmful rays of the sun. I will be posting a review about it soon!

2. Current Fave Moisturizer: Celeteque Facial Moisturizer with Triple Moisturizing System

This moisturizer is so light weight! It doesn't feel heavy on your skin and it makes your face soft and moisturized all day. I find that this really works well with my oily-to-combination skin and it really blends well with whatever foundation I use.

3. Current Fave Scent: Snoe Beauty Scrumptious Body Spritz in Honey Dew Melon Yogurt

This smells so yummy! I couldn't say anything more about this product other than I LOVE IT!. I have already reviewed it here.

4. Current Fave Nail Polishes: Wet N Wild Nail Polishes in Casting Call and Blue Moon

Aren't these lovely colors? Gorgeous!

5. Current Fave Bronzer: ELF's Golden Bronzer

This is perfect if you want that natural bronzy or goddess-like look! I use this everyday to contour my face and to give me a natural glow!

6. Current Fave Eyeliners: ELF's Liquid Eyeliners

I have really been into liquid eyeliners lately and I think that I am getting good in applying them. I love these ELF Liquid Eyeliners because they last all day and they are very easy to apply!

Swatches: Midnight (navy blue), Black and Coffee (brown)

Please comment below and let me know what your current beauty favorites are! I would love to hear from you!

Get your mask on!

Hi guys!

I don't know about you guys, but I love face masks! I love all kinds of face masks and my favorite are those that harden while on your face. Haha. My favorite face mask (which I have been using for 4 months already) is the Snoe White Vitamin C-Rich Calamansi Whitening Detox Clay Mask. This mask has replaced the St. Ives face mask which has been my favorite for more than a year already!

Let me tell you a bit about this amazing product:

It contains herbs and some active ingredient like Activated Bamboo Charcoal (which unclogs pores and removes dead skin cells), Kaolin (which cleanses, purifies, heals, soothes, nourishes and tones all skin types), and Collagen (which rejuvenates and delays aging skin). Its main ingredient is Calamansi.

"Calamansi helps eliminate deep-seated dirt that has accumulated within the skin pores. The fruit can be used for whitening and bleaching the skin. It is rich in Vitamin C and Alpha Hydroxyl Acids (AHA). A natural astringent that can eliminate blackheads and can dry up pimples.

What this product basically does is to cleanse your face from all impurities, leaving it soft and refreshed. When applied on the face, it hardens and your face tightens after about 2 minutes and you'll really feel like the dirt is being sucked out of your pores. I use this product once a week and I leave it on my face for 5-10 minutes.

Another thing that I like about this product is that it is made in the Philippines by a company called Snoe Beauty! This product is 100% Pinoy!

The product comes in a small 40 gram tub. This product, however, will last you a long time because a small amount goes a long way. I've been using this product for 4 months now and I still have a lot left!

The mask looks like a muddy substance with a gray color. Okay, I think I just made that sound yucky! But, trust me, this product is the BEST!

The verdict:

Quality - A++++
I just couldn't stop gushing about how awesome this product is! It has done wonders for my skin. My skin looks lighter, softer and with lesser impurities.

Packaging - A
There's nothing really special about the way the product is packaged. It is just in a small tin gray tub with the sticker labels and product description. But I love how this product comes in a tub instead of a tube. Imagine how difficult it would be to squeeze the product out.

Price - A
This costs Php 249 or around $5-6. I know this is expensive for a 40 gram product. Like I said, it will take you a long time to consume one tub of this product. But, I wouldn't mind paying good cash for a great product like this one!

I really recommend this product to every girl out there! If you have tried this product, please comment below and let me know how you liked it!

Let's talk hair!

Hey!

How's everyone doing? The weather is really crappy right now here in the Philippines, which is okay 'cause I could just curl up in the couch with a good book. ;)

Anyway, I wanted to blog about my current favorite hair products. If you guys don't know, I have rebonded hair. I like my hair sleek, straight, soft and shiny and it's hard to maintain rebonded hair. I find that two products work best for my hair: LORYS HAIR CREAM IN FRUIT COCKTAIL and FX MOROCCAN MOISTURE MIRACLE ARGAN OIL LEAVE-IN SPRAY.

FX MOROCCAN MOISTURE MIRACLE ARGAN OIL LEAVE-IN SPRAY
"Shear weightless golden mist. Hydrates and adds glistening shine"

At first, I hesitated about buying this. It costs Php 399 at Watson's for pete's sake! But, it's a good thing that I decided to get this. This hair product is amazing! Hair products with Moroccan Oil and Argan Oil are the craze right now and I really wanted to jump into this bandwagon.

This product not only gives my hair a nice shine; it also helps keep stray hairs in place. The thing that I love about this product is that it's not greasy. When I apply it on my hair, it just blends in really well with my hair and it doesn't make my hair feel heavy as most oil-based products do.

I use this product everyday to give my hair that standout shine (it can be used on damp and dry hair). I sometime use it at night just to lock in the moisture in my hair.

LORYS HAIR CREAM IN FRUIT COCKTAIL
"Softness and shine for all hair types"

I have probably tried all variants of Lorys Hair Cream. But the one in Fruit Cocktail is my favorite! It just smells so good!

I use this as my daily conditioner. I leave it on for about 2 minutes then I rinse it off my hair.
Once a week, I leave it on for 15 minutes to deep condition my hair and to lock in the moisture into my hair.
Lorys, which is made in Brazil, costs around Php 185 at Watsons for a 450 g tub. For the thickness of my hair, a tub lasts for 2-3 weeks.

I love this product because it keeps my hair soft and smelling good throughout the day! I love how soft and untangled my hair is every time I run my fingers through my hair. My hair is also less messy when I use this conditioner. It has also helped a great deal with the tips of my hair where it can get really frizzy.

This is how the conditioner looks like. It's just a thick yellowy substance. There's a surprise with this variant of Lorys though. When you've consumed about half of the tub, you'll notice that the conditioner is no longer yellow but pink! ;)

Well, there goes my two current favorite hair products! I think I'll be repurchasing these products for a very long time. :)
